Sales Engineer
DESCRIPTION: Responsible for preparation and delivery of accurate estimates based on customer requirements and design input.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Chief Responsibilities Include: Site Visits and Pre-Bid Meetings, Review of RFP’s or other documents to determine requirements of the project, Work with manufacturers and distributors to tailor the estimate to the customers needs, Creation of accurate estimates based on particulars of the project, Develop detailed proposals effectively stating what DataCom is providing, Intimately involved in project life cycle after award to ensure all customer expectations are met and exceeded
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in either sales engineering or other technical capacity preferably in the technology sector for a minimum of 2 years, Strong knowledge and ability with Microsoft products, CAD or Visio experience is a plus, BICSI certifications are desired but not needed, Ability to read blueprints, Able to work effectively as part of a team, Able to meet deadlines and follow up on projects as needed, Ability to travel and work long hours if and when needed
